What We Pass on to Our Daughters - Book by Manisha Yadav We all would have heard many versions of stories about patriarchy, but this book has shown the inner feelings of two women who go through things out of Patriarchy and societal pressure. Both are from the same family but in different Generations. One is from the 80's - quiet, sacrificing, yet strong! The other one is from the current - bold, rebellious, and confused! The parallel narration of two different generations and some key attributes of fiction stories, give a grip and exciting flow to read. Questions raised in the mind of these women are authentically raised throughout the book and well discussed in a fictional way. Not only questioning but giving a lot of different perspectives to suit ourselves. The previous generation's Mental strength to be Silent in crisis to hold on to one family to thrive and the "In-between generation's" confused stage to be silent or speak out makes the reading impactful
